POE is a tribute to that literary master, admired the world over. It is done with acrylic gouache on watercolor board. Rather than rest on a stark black & white rendering, color was given to this troubled writer.
Working from doodle to final illustration was a joy on this one. I am continually mesmerized by Fashion Illustration. It may be my favorite genre. This piece reflects that. Another example of acrylic gouache on watercolor board, for me.

This image is mixed-media with ink on Bristol board. The mark making was achieved with brush, and a couple of alternative tools. This is a nod to classic fashion-illustrations that were rendered with little more than ink wash and line.
